Best overall: Bright Tobacco

Bright Tobacco by Lou de Pre pairs a strong comparison vote with a note list that follows the original. On Parfumo's comparison page, most members who voted find it similar to Stronger With You Intensely. The same page lists bergamot, cinnamon and pink pepper on top, lavender, sage and violet in the heart, and suede, vanilla and caramel in the base, so the spine of the Armani is there.

The main difference is in the details. A Parfumo member who compared the two finds it very close, with an extra, almost imperceptible hint of cinnamon, and another finds it strongly resembles the original, with a citrus opening, a sweet-chestnut note and a touch of leather. The main difference is shading. A Parfumo member finds it captures the original's sweetness, but with more lavender and leather, before it takes its own turn, and another finds something dark in it that pairs with that sweetness.

Softer take: The Rock Intensely

The Rock Intensely by Bujairami is the less sugary route. Members on its Fragrantica page find it decently close to Stronger With You Intensely once it settles, with more lavender, less sweetness and less of the gourmand side. Fragrantica lists violet, pink pepper and juniper; lavender, cinnamon and sage; vanilla, tonka and amber.

The main difference is the toffee. It is missing from the list, which fits what those members describe: the dessert side pulled back and the lavender pushed forward.

What the clones keep, and what they drop

Of the five clones here with a published note list, four name lavender and four name vanilla, and most of them keep the cinnamon too. The toffee is what gets dropped most often: only Hooked Intensely and Your Touch Intense list it. Fragrantica members on The Rock Intensely and one Parfumo member on Heroic Man both describe less sweetness than the Armani.

So the clones split two ways. Some keep the toffee-and-cinnamon sweetness: one Your Touch Intense member finds it captures it, and one member finds Hooked Intensely converging as it settles. Others trim the sugar and push the lavender forward, which takes them further from the Intensely's dessert side.

Pegasus Exclusif by Parfums de Marly, an Extrait de Parfum from 2020, shares pink pepper, lavender, vanilla, amber and tonka bean with the Armani, and adds bitter almond, heliotrope, jasmine, patchouli and sandalwood for an almond-led, woodier take. Myrrh & Tonka by Jo Malone London is the simplest of the three: lavender over myrrh, then tonka bean, vanilla and almond, a balsamic, unisex version of the same comfort. Le Male Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier, from 2023, sets lavender and mint over vanilla and benzoin, then honey, tonka bean and tobacco. Unlike Bright Tobacco's list, it actually names tobacco.
