Six Light Blue dupes compared on their notes, their sources and their price, and why a 3ml of the Dolce&Gabbana original may be the better first move.
In this guide
Quick answer
The best Light Blue dupe overall is Citrus Green Apple by Dossier, whose published notes keep apple, jasmine, rose, cedar, amber and musk from the original. Beach Wave by Oakcha is the one a Fragrantica member could not tell apart from Light Blue, and Donna by La Rive costs the least. Want the real thing? Light Blue is €21.60 for a 10ml decant at 10ML.

Light Blue
Dolce&GabbanaDecanted from the original bottle
The alternatives: €0.08–€0.60/ml in other shops, checked 1 October 2026

Light Blue is one of the rare cases where the original is the low-cost way in. A 3ml of it, around 60 sprays, is €7.38, less than three of the four clone bottles we could price in euros. If you have never worn it, start there, then decide whether you want a clone at all.
What does Light Blue smell like?
Light Blue by Dolce&Gabbana, the Eau de Toilette pour Femme from 2001, is the scent every pick below is measured against. It opens on Sicilian lemon and apple, with cedar and bellflower already present at the top. The heart is jasmine, white rose and bamboo, a green take on flowers rather than a heady bouquet. It dries down to musk and amber, soft and a little powdery. The overall effect is citrus and wood with a crisp fruity edge: bright and uncomplicated. The house describes it on its own Light Blue Eau de Toilette page.
Which Light Blue is this guide about?
The name now covers several perfumes, and clone listings rarely say which one they mean. Every comparison here is with the original Eau de Toilette pour Femme. 10ML also sells the Light Blue Capri In Love flankers, pour Femme and pour Homme, and those are different scents, not stronger editions of this one. Dolce&Gabbana has added a 2026 Eau de Parfum and an Eau Intense as well; neither is the target here. When a clone just says "Light Blue", read its notes: lemon, apple and cedar at the top point to the pour Femme.

Best overall: Citrus Green Apple
Citrus Green Apple by Dossier leads this guide because it keeps much of the original's outline, and its maker is open about the link. Dossier lists green apple, lime and cedrat, then bluebell, jasmine and rose, then amber, cedarwood and musk, and names Light Blue as its inspiration on its own page. Against the original, that is the apple, the jasmine and rose heart and the full amber, cedar and musk base.
The main difference is the citrus. Lime and cedrat stand where the original has Sicilian lemon, and bluebell takes the place of bellflower and bamboo.
It suits someone who likes the apple-and-cedar shape of the original but would rather have lime than lemon up top. Basis: a named source. Dossier names Light Blue as its inspiration, and its Fragrantica listing gives the same pyramid without the cedrat.

Closest on the dry-down: Beach Wave
Beach Wave by Oakcha has one strong endorsement, from one person. A Fragrantica member who was after Light Blue says they cannot tell the two apart. Oakcha's page and its Fragrantica listing give the original's own pyramid: lemon, apple, bellflower and cedar, then bamboo, jasmine and white rose, then amber, cedar and musk.
The main difference is the format, and one owner's view of how it holds. Oakcha sells it as an Extrait de Parfum, while the original is an Eau de Toilette. On the same Fragrantica page, another member finds its longevity weak and says Light Blue lasts longer, so the praise is not unanimous.
It suits someone who wants one owner's word that they are hard to tell apart and is happy to weigh one member's word against another's. Basis: a named source. Oakcha names Light Blue as the inspiration on its own page, and the Fragrantica page above carries the comparison.

Lowest price: Donna
Donna by La Rive is the least expensive bottle in this guide, and it also works out lowest per ml among the clones we could price in euros. On Parfumo's comparison of the two, nine in ten voting members find them similar, and its listed notes are the original's pyramid plus hyacinth.
The main difference is detail and staying power. One Parfumo member finds it more citrusy than Light Blue, less woody and fruity, and noticeably shorter-lasting, and Parfumo members score its longevity and sillage below the original's. Read that as a simpler, sharper sketch of the same idea rather than the original's layering of lemon, flowers, bamboo and musk.
It suits someone who wants the general mood at the lowest outlay and does not mind losing some of the nuance. Basis: a named source, the Parfumo members' vote, with a member's comment for the difference.

Sweeter take: I Love Love
I Love Love by Moschino is not a clone in the usual sense. It is a designer perfume by the same perfumer who composed Light Blue, and on Parfumo's comparison of the two, more than four in five voting members find them similar. Fragrantica gives grapefruit, orange, lemon and red currant on top, tea rose and cinnamon in the heart, and musk and cedar in the base, so lemon, rose, musk and cedar are shared.
The main difference is sweetness. In a Fragrantica forum thread about replacing Light Blue, one member calls it a sweeter version of Light Blue, and another finds it more orange than lemon. A Parfumo member finds a strong resemblance but a softer scent, without the apple or the dry dustiness in the heart.
It suits someone who finds the original's lemon too tart and would trade some of its crispness for red fruit and cinnamon. Basis: a named source, the Parfumo members' vote and the forum thread, with a minority of voters not finding them similar.

Darker take: Tag-Her
Tag-Her by Armaf came up in a Fragrantica forum thread asking for something similar to Light Blue: one member suggested it, and another replied that this clone is very good. On its Fragrantica page, a member calls it a twist on Light Blue pour Femme with more depth. The shared notes are jasmine, rose and musk.
The main difference is the base. The original settles on musk and amber; Fragrantica lists vanilla, musk, caramel and labdanum for Tag-Her, under a heart of orange blossom, jasmine and rose. On paper that is a warmer, more resinous finish than Light Blue's clean amber.
It suits someone who finds the original's dry-down too light and wants more warmth under the flowers. Basis: a named source, the forum thread and a member's comment on Fragrantica.

Fresher take: Splash
Splash by ALT. Fragrances is the most stripped-back pick. ALT. says on its own page that Splash is inspired by Light Blue for Women and publishes a short list: lemon citrus, a crisp aquatic accord, soft woods and clean musk. Lemon and musk are shared with the original, and the soft woods sit where the original lists cedar.
The main difference, going by the published lists, is the missing middle. Splash lists no apple and no floral heart, so the jasmine, white rose, bamboo and bellflower of the original do not appear, and an aquatic accord is listed instead.
It suits someone who only wants the lemon and musk of the Light Blue idea, without the fruit and flowers. Basis: published notes only. Its Fragrantica page holds a single write-up, so treat the resemblance as a reading of the lists, not a proven match.

Where the clones part ways with Light Blue
Bellflower at the top and bamboo in the heart are the quiet notes behind the original's green feel, and they are the first to go. None of the clone note lists quoted here names bamboo or bellflower. Citrus Green Apple swaps bellflower for bluebell, and Splash drops the floral heart altogether.
The other drift is towards warmth. Tag-Her lists caramel, vanilla and labdanum in its base, and I Love Love adds cinnamon and red currant. Both move away from a base that is only musk and amber. If what you love about Light Blue is how little it weighs, those two are the riskiest choices here.
Clone bottle or a Light Blue decant?
Per ml, every clone with a euro price in the table costs less than a decant of the original. A 10ml decant of Light Blue is €21.60 (€2.16/ml), and the 30ml, at €54.27 (€1.81/ml), brings the per-ml rate down further. Tag-Her and Splash show no price in the table: Armaf had no in-stock euro listing on the check date, and ALT. publishes prices in dollars only, which we do not convert.
Line the decant prices up against the clone bottles before you choose. Because this original is a designer scent at a modest price, the 3ml settles the question for less than three of the four clone bottles we could price in euros. Our price per ml index sets out the numbers across the catalogue.
Authentic perfumes in the same mood
If you like the fresh, fruity side of Light Blue and want another original, three share part of it. Erba Gold by Xerjoff opens on Sicilian lemon, orange, bergamot and ginger, puts green apple, pear and melon in the heart, and closes on white musk, vanilla and amber: juicier and spicier, with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Wood for Her by DSQUARED² pairs mandarin and magnolia with jasmine and osmanthus over white woods, Ambroxan and cedar, a softer floral-woody scent. Blue Talisman by Ex Nihilo is pear, bergamot, mandarin and ginger over orange blossom, musk and Ambrofix, and has a dupe guide of its own. Each comes as a decant filled from the original bottle.
How to test a dupe
Light Blue moves quickly. The lemon and apple are the first thing you notice and the first thing to soften, so judge a clone at three points: the opening, the jasmine and rose heart once it has settled, and the musk and amber skin scent late in the day. Spray on your arm rather than a card, because a card only ever shows the citrus. Keep the original and the clone on separate days, so the bright top of one does not crowd your memory of the other.
A 3ml of Light Blue gives you enough for a fair comparison against two or three clones. If the original wins, a 10ml decant, around 200 sprays, is weeks of daily wear, and a 30ml, around 600, is the size to keep. First time buying small sizes? Clone or original? What to know first
- Is a 3ml of Light Blue enough to judge it before buying a dupe?
- Usually: a 3ml holds about 60 sprays, roughly a week of ordinary days. 10ML fills it from the original Eau de Toilette pour Femme bottle, and it is €7.38, less than three of the four clone bottles we could price in euros.
- Which Light Blue dupe comes first in this guide, and why?
- Citrus Green Apple by Dossier. Its maker names Light Blue as the inspiration, and its published notes keep the apple, the jasmine and rose heart and the amber, cedar and musk base, with lime and cedrat in place of the original's lemon.
- How near does Beach Wave by Oakcha get to Light Blue?
- One Fragrantica member who wanted Light Blue says they cannot tell the two apart. Another member there finds its longevity weak and says the original lasts longer, so the verdict rests on individual owners, not a consensus.
- Which version of Light Blue do the clones follow?
- The picks here are compared with the 2001 Eau de Toilette pour Femme. The Capri In Love flankers, the Eau Intense and the 2026 Eau de Parfum are different perfumes, so check a clone's notes for lemon, apple and cedar at the top.
- Does a Light Blue dupe work out lower per ml than our decant?
- Per ml, yes: every clone we could price in euros costs less per ml. A 10ml decant of the original is €21.60 (€2.16/ml).
- Which dupes drop the flowers of Light Blue?
- Splash by ALT. Fragrances lists no apple and no floral heart at all, only lemon, an aquatic accord, soft woods and musk. Citrus Green Apple keeps jasmine and rose but swaps bellflower for bluebell.
- How long will Light Blue stay on my skin?
- It depends on your skin, the weather and how much you spray, so no figure holds for everyone. The easiest way to find out is to wear a 3ml on a few ordinary days before choosing a full bottle or a clone.
